SOGNI STRANI: THE ANIMATION Studio Uamou has been looking towards the medium of animation for a long time and since 2013 Ayako Takagi and Niko Lanzuisi have had continuous talks about how to adapt Uamou for the screen. As we have stated before it is still too early to announce any kind of serious production but we have actively been testing out some ideas, some of which found their way to the Sogni Strani exhibition. Ayako’s work and Niko’s animation were produced simultaneously and by taking hints from each other’s work they have tried to make the exhibition a cohesive experience. The animation has been received with enthusiasm which encourages us to continue adapting Uamou for the screen. Just thinking about an Uamou animation series is very exciting to us and we shall work hard to make that happen in the near future.
