UAMOU MEETS TOMASON EXPO IN NAGOYA ! Fun and meaningless! The immense potential of free-form doodling! The TOMASON art collective based in Nagoya was born from graffiti, or more precisely “rakugaki” which describes the act of illustrating freely. As an art collective they believe in the creativity and freedom of doodling but most of all, the potential of free-form illustration. Nevertheless they like to describe rakugaki as essentially being meaningless. TOMASON has been around for four years and they figured it was time to celebrate the occasion with a big exposition in the Sakae Building in Nagoya. They invited a selection of artists and designers to participate and create works of art celebrating the art collective and Studio Uamou is collaborating as well with a series of special edition Uamou and Boo sets hand-doodled by Ayako Takagi. TOMASON EXPO January 15(Thu.) ~ January 20 (Tue.) 10:00 ~ 17:00 (16:00 on the last day) Myoko Garden Gallery (3F ~ 6F) Sakae 3-14-14, Naka-Ku, Nagoya
