Melbourne opens its first Sofubi show at Rooftop Art Space. “SOFT VINYL GARDEN” will be running for a month and aims to introduce Melbourne to the world of soft vinyl toys.
Studio Uamou participates as well and has created this unique Tulip Uamou. Painted on a clear base a tulip shaped window exposes soft pon pons within to create the image of a blooming tulip.
Artists from Japan, USA and UK have submitted pieces for sale at the show – with many of these pieces being exclusive 1-offs. The show will also exhibit toys from the softvinylgarden collection. All toys will be displayed in minature prop gardens in the wonderful Rooftop Art Space boxes. Initial sales will only be open to those present on opening night.
